Things to Prepare Before a Power Outage
Stock Flashlights & Batteries
Always keep flashlights and spare batteries within easy reach. Avoid using candles as they pose a fire risk.
Make a Shelter Plan
Decide on a family gathering area if the outage lasts long, especially during extreme weather.
What to Do During a Power Outage
- Check whether neighbors' homes are also out to identify the source of the fault.
- Contact the utility / PLN to report the outage.
- Unplug electronics to prevent damage when power returns.
